ESPOSS application will incorporate geospatial data from various sources (satellite images, in-situ data, model outputs) and will serve as a working tool for the scientific community and the relevant decision makers. Having this goal in mind, our team will:

• Create procedures for data ingestion from different sources (plain files, FTP servers, data management systems, web services);
• Develop a five-year database of daily and decadal historical satellite data and products (e.g. MERIS, MODIS, LANDSAT, etc) and in-situ data;
• Create a set of innovative and intuitive web tools to visualise, process, and analyse vast amounts of remote sensing data and other environmental data sets without having to download the data on local machine;
• Qualify the application and prepare it for operational use with the future Sentinels images.
